About this blog...

***** THIS BLOG HAS BEEN REPLACED IN 2012 ***** If you've come aross this blog site by accident, pop over to www.krystaguille.com for my current one *****

One lazy day in 2009, I decided to embark on a photo-a-day-for-a-year challenge. I set myself a goal to upload a different photo every day - some are of my gorgeous clients, some are of my ever obliging family and friends.

Well, I reached the end of the challenge year, and while I didn't quite succeed at a photo-a-day, this blog became part of my weekly routine.

And so I continue...at a new location.

Bella Bambino... {child portrait}

I am always ready to chase little ones around to capture their little personalities.   And with a combination of 2-year-old independence & fiery European-blood, this beautiful little princess was on the go - chase I did!

Oh sooo loved... {family portrait}

I always ask "my families" what message they hope to convey through the images I take of them during the family portrait session.  I was very touched by Erica's answer; "That we loved him so much from the very beginning".  I think that is about as good a reason as I'll ever get.  And Liam IS adored by his parents.

Can you feel the love?

The Crosby Bump... {maternity}

I just can't wait to hear if Nicky + Bryce's baby is a girl or a boy!

Bryce comes from a blokey-family;  he has brothers only, no sisters.  Plus Bryce's brothers have all produced sons so far. Will this Crosby-Baby break the girl-drought?

One thing is for certain  - this baby won't be named "Imogen" (one of my favourite names).  That's because its the name of Bryce + Nicky's beloved dog.  This discussion reminded me of the difficulties Dave and I had deciding on a name for our daughter.  We were very very close to changing our dog's name by depol so that we could name our baby "Ruby".  Lucky for Ruby, Isobel took her Great-Grandmother's name.  I digress...

Wishing you all the best Nicky + Bryce.

Sweet Baby James...

 "Never work with kids and dogs"  WC Fields

Apparently W.C. Fields hated working with kids and animals in movies because they always upstaged him.  Well, I can see exactly how that happened if the kids & animals he worked with were  even half as adorable as James & his two fur-brothers.

I was blown away by how good-natured James was after travelling from Frankland (dogs in the back) for this shoot that morning but he was up for anything.  And such a cute cute age!

The two farm dogs (one of whom was worth more than my car after several serious life-saving operations) were hilarious - set free in "the big smoke", albeit tucked away in the bush!  This shoot was a lot of laughs!
