About this blog...

***** THIS BLOG HAS BEEN REPLACED IN 2012 ***** If you've come aross this blog site by accident, pop over to www.krystaguille.com for my current one *****

One lazy day in 2009, I decided to embark on a photo-a-day-for-a-year challenge. I set myself a goal to upload a different photo every day - some are of my gorgeous clients, some are of my ever obliging family and friends.

Well, I reached the end of the challenge year, and while I didn't quite succeed at a photo-a-day, this blog became part of my weekly routine.

And so I continue...at a new location.

Sneak peek; two little famer boys... {family portraits}

Two every active little boys  - well done to their Mum & Dad for thinking to bring along the cart which helped to keep them in one place for more than two seconds.  Very cute!

Justine + Ian, 16th April, 2011 {wedding}

I was very excited when Justine + Ian first told me that they were to be married at The Goose in Busselton, right on the waterfront.  But I admit I was a little nervous  - I've seen sooo many beautiful images of The Jetty - after all, it has become one of our State's most recognised icons.

Fortunately, the Weather Gods smiled on us for this special day.  After a blisteringly hot start to the day, slowly but surely, clouds crept in over  our setting giving us the most perfect evening.  I couldn't go wrong!

Now, you may have seen some of the sneak peeks from this wedding on facebook - here + here - and if you have, you'd know that this couple like to have fun!  Justine + Ian, if you intend to spend your married years sharing as much laughter & joy as you did on your wedding day, you're in for a fantastic life together.  Thank you for letting me be part of the very beginning of it.

Ian + Conny {engagement}

So, there was rain on the way.

I'd been watching the BOM radar intermittently all day.  And I was watching out over the town as the grey clouds rolling in from the ocean.  I just needed the rain to hold off for one more hour - and it did!

Not only did the rain hold, but our nerves were rewarded with that magic light that only comes with storms and sunsets combined.  Let's hope we get exactly the same conditions in May when this lovely couple tie the knot!

Sweet Baby James...

 "Never work with kids and dogs"  WC Fields

Apparently W.C. Fields hated working with kids and animals in movies because they always upstaged him.  Well, I can see exactly how that happened if the kids & animals he worked with were  even half as adorable as James & his two fur-brothers.

I was blown away by how good-natured James was after travelling from Frankland (dogs in the back) for this shoot that morning but he was up for anything.  And such a cute cute age!

The two farm dogs (one of whom was worth more than my car after several serious life-saving operations) were hilarious - set free in "the big smoke", albeit tucked away in the bush!  This shoot was a lot of laughs!
