About this blog...

***** THIS BLOG HAS BEEN REPLACED IN 2012 ***** If you've come aross this blog site by accident, pop over to www.krystaguille.com for my current one *****

One lazy day in 2009, I decided to embark on a photo-a-day-for-a-year challenge. I set myself a goal to upload a different photo every day - some are of my gorgeous clients, some are of my ever obliging family and friends.

Well, I reached the end of the challenge year, and while I didn't quite succeed at a photo-a-day, this blog became part of my weekly routine.

And so I continue...at a new location.

Office closed until 1st August... {personal}

In the wee hours of last night, I finished Bryn + Laura's wedding photos just in time for today's departure to Broome (yes, with two kids...driving eeekk!) for Dayna & Phil's wedding next week.

From Cheynes Beach to Cable Beach - I know I know, I'm one lucky photographer.

My office will be closed from now until 1st August but feel free to contact me during this time for information about weddings. See you in a month :)

Yvette + Rhys, The Boardwalk, Middleton Beach... {engagement}

Yvette + Rhys are moving from Perth to Darwin before their December wedding so there was no rescheduling of this engagement session despite VERY wet weather all day.

We grabbed our chance when we could and headed to the beach for this wintery session...

Driving to work... {landscapes}

I was a little late for work (a magazine shoot east of Katanning)  ... kept stopping for happy-snaps out the window.

It was FREEZING but that just added to the fresh feeling of escaping "the big smoke".  I love a road-trip.

Ella Rae... {Commercial}

A few from an Ella Rae photo-shoot last Friday.

Lucy + Nic, Carlyles Reception Centre, 14 Janaury 2012... {wedding}

Oh - this is a very long blog post!

I found it too hard to cut the photos down to a smaller number - I just had so much fun shooting this wedding that it is too hard to shorten the list.

Lucy + Nic were married in January. I don't usually take wedding booking in January because of school holidays, but they had me hook, line and sinker when they mentioned it would be a 1950's themed wedding.

Nic's family came from France for occasion, and Lucy's family from England.  So I was thrilled the weather was stunning for them to enjoy!

For every couple, its is always a juggle and a challenge to balance their wedding-day priorities as far as time and budget allocation are concerned.  When I meet with my couples before they book me, I'm always thrilled when they tell me photography is a priority for them.  This was the case for Nic + Lucy.  They put a lot of thought into locations and props, and made sure we had enough time on the day to do it all justice.  (For example, this beautiful car belongs to bridesmaid Ang's father  and it was such a perfect prop for our photo session.)

As a result, I LOVE these photos. I hope you do too.

PS Nic's wedding speech is LEGENDARY!  But we would expect nothing less of a Frenchman, would we?

And there's more...
