Not all photographers offer engagement sessions as part of every wedding collection.
But I do.
And it's really more for my own benefit than for the client's (although my couples tell me that once they get over the initial dread of my camera, it is a special snapshot in time for them too). It gives me the perfect opportunity to get to know the couple alone, privately, before the craziness of the wedding day kicks in. And it gives me the chance to soak in the bliss & happiness of two people, like Bianca + Stef, madly in love.
The first thing every couple says to me is "I hate having my photo taken". Well, join the club.
But, it is so worth it when you look back at this very significant time in your life, before things got busy with the mundane every day demands of work and other commitments ... (& maybe even of a young family??).
I love making photos of people in love.
